THE RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT OF MAHARASHTRA CHIEF MINISTER THAT GOVT. OF MAHARASHTRA WILL START IT’S COTTON PROCUREMENT BY 15 NOVEMBER THAT IS ALMOST AFTER ONE MONTH @ OF RS.1900/- HAS BEEN SHOCKING NEWS FOR COTTON GROWERS AS MASSIVE SUICIDES SPIRAL HAS PUT ADMINISTRATION IN FIX AND ALL PACKAGES PROVIDED BY INDIAN PRIME MINISTER AND MAHARASHTRA CHIEF MINISTER FAILED TO STOP THESE SUICIDES AND IT WAS EXPECTED THAT RESTORATION OF COTTON PRICE @ RS.2700/- PER QUINTAL THE COMPLETE LOAN WAIVER WHICH ARE THE MAIN ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED HAS ONCE AGAIN BEING SIDE TRACKED WOULD FURTHER TRIGGER MORE SUICIDES IN THE VIDARBHA REGION AS FEARED BY LOCAL FARM ACTIVIST OF VIDARBHA JAN ANDOLAN SAMITI WHO ARE KEEPING DAILY TRACK OF VIDARBHA SUICIDES.
KISHOR TIWARI PRESIDENT OF VIDARBH JAN ANDOLAN SAMITI ONCE AGAIN URGED INDIAN PRIME MINISTER THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION TO STOP THESE ON GOING FARMERS SUICIDES IN VIDARBHA IS ECONOMIC REFORMS IN GOVT. POLICIES ANS SPECIAL PRICE PROTECTION TO VIDARBHA COTTON GROWERS BUT ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN DIVERTING ECONOMIC ISSUES OF AGRARIAN CRISIS TO SOCIAL ISSUES AND SPENDING MORE THAN RS.3 MILLION ON SPIRITUAL GURUS PARVACHAN-KRITANS WHO ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY OF RURAL PROBLEMS OF RURAL VIDARBHA.
MASS FARMERS SUICIDES EXPECTED IN
AS EXISTING PACKAGES SPECIALLY ANNOUNCED FOR WEST VIDARBHA IN ORDER TO CONTROL THESE ON GOING FARMERS SUICIDES ARE NOT TARGETED TO THE REASONS OF DISTRESS IN THE RURAL AREA OF COTTON GROWING REGION MASS SUICIDES OF FARMERS ARE LIKELY TO BE REPORTED IN NEAR FUTURE AS THERE IS NO ADMINISTRATION TO SEE THESES HELPLESS FARMERS AND THERE COMPLETE CURIOS AND HOSTILE CORRUPTION INCREASING DISTRESS AMONG FARMERS, WARNED KISHOR TIWARI. PLIGHTS OF THE FARMERS ARE KNOWN TO EVERYBODY BUT NOBODY IS KEEN TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS. GOVT SHOULD ANNOUNCE COMPLETE LOAN WAIVER AND COTTON RATE @RS.2700/- PER QUINTAL IMMEDIATELY AS FIRST STEP TO STOP THESE SUICIDE,KISHOR TIWARI DEMANDED.

Sir,
This is truly dis-heartening & knowing the Govt. machinery's speed of work I suggest a call should be made to the young India who enjoy a healthy econimical life today especially after the increase of FDI in India which has opened up endless opportunities of growth to come forward to form a FUND to support these affected farmers of our country. After all India has always been known as a land of Agriculture & farmer's.
