After visit of Indian prime minister to vidarbha on 30th June and 1st July 2006 and announcement
of special package of Rs.3750/- to around 3 million distress farmers of west vidarbha but even though PMO was monitor the progress of relief aid, the result after all most nine month that only 10% of relief amount reached to the farmers in distress that also in indirect form .the govt. administration has diverted fund at their will and wish more over very unfortunate part of relief aid after your NAGPUR visit that local administration has decided to reject all most of all cases of farm widows compensation on the ground that these suicides are not due agrarian crisis.

Now both budget of Indian and maharashtra govt. are placed before the respective houses for sanction but both failed to address vidarbha agrarian crisis as main demands of cotton growers regarding restoration of cotton rate Rs.2500 per quintal and complete loan waiver, and having seen the main demands of cotton farmers being rejected more and more suicides are daily reported which is very serious matter.

In a letter to Indian prime minister .it is demanded that in order to save 3 million farmers of vidarbha, to provide targeted relief in Indian budget, which are

1.RESORETION OF COTTON PRICE AT THE RATE OF RS.2500/- PER QUINTAL

2.COMPLETE LOAN WAIVER TO ALL VIDARBHA FARMERS
